Career history and class information.
PAST
I was first a professional photographer for over 20 years, specializing in large format studio setups of food and beverages, though I handled all kinds of work in all formats. I worked mostly with film, and in the last few years digitally. My work history is here.
I started teaching art in the Hastings-on-Hudson school district in 1998, became the Art Department Chairperson in 2008, and retired in June 2015. I set up the digital media art courses for the district, and taught Media Arts, Advanced Media Arts, Photo 1 and 2 (film) digital photography, and AP photography, along with foundation studio courses.
PRESENT
I currently teach day and evening courses for the Mamaroneck, Scarsdale and Bronxville adult continuing education programs.
I am Chair of Region 7 of the New York State Art Teachers Association – seven counties in the lower Hudson Valley. I also edit the NYSATA quarterly newsletter.
I am a Field Supervisor for Art Education student teachers in the SUNY New Paltz Art Education program and the St. Thomas Aquinas Education program.
